Frequently Asked Questions.

Q.  Why do i need professional hair/makeup ?

A.  Honest answer, you don't... but when you look back later at your wedding photos, you might wish you did. Our role on your wedding day is not to change your appearance and make you 'not look yourself'... our goal is to essentially enhance your natural beauty.  We want you to look and feel like the best version of yourself on the outside, as you radiate love from within. It is YOUR day so you should look and feel your best. Getting ready can be stressful, rushed, and if things don't go right, you don't need that extra headache. Sit back, get pampered and feel like a celebrity for a day and let us do the work. With experience in working with people in all skin types, ages and ethnicities, we help you look tasteful, timeless and glowing. You'll look back at your wedding photos with great memories and say, "i made the right choice and damn -- i looked good!'

Q.  How do i justify the price of glam ?

A. This is an extremely valid question as the cost of luxury services such as wedding glam can be very daunting. What you're paying for is the full on experience, a professional, passionate quality and an artist with an abundance of experience. As mentioned above in the previous question, getting the final details and touches ready on the big day can be stressful, overwhelming for a lot of brides. Having an experience of pure pamper can eliminate a lot of those nerves. Just wake up, take a breath and start your day feeling like a princess. Even the most laid back, low key modest brides deserve to look and feel their best. If there's anything you should splurge with your budget on, it's YOU.

Q.  How do i book a local trial, if i'm travelling from the city ?

A.  Ideally trials on shower day, engagement photo days and on your bachelorette party can test the longevity of your makeup yourself. It's never been an issue as it will last. I'f you're doing rehearsal dinner, or even a last "hoo-rah" up north before you say 'i do', we can arrange your trial that day if possible. I've done many a weddings that left it to me, and opted out for a trial. So it's really up to the bride themselves and how they feel saving that extra cost or demanding that trial. I am confident and believe  that happy tears are the only tears you should have at your wedding. Trial or no trial, my goal is to make you happy and satisfied overall.

TIP:  If you have no clue, i suggest looking up some bridal looks and collect some pictures that appeal to you. Whether you're looking to do an extremely natural or a more sultry glamorous look, send them to me and we can discuss it further and  try to recreate your vision on your wedding day. It 's also important to consider your overall colour scheme, bouquets colours and bridal party dresses. You don't want to clash, so keep it neutral or within likes when it comes to your makeup.

Q.  What do i expect upon booking you for my special day ?

A.  You will receive an invoice/quote along with a contract /questionnaire that details thoroughly what is to be expected upon the big day.  Want to see the contract? Ask me and i'll send you an example. The questionnaire would basically be for me, to know what to expect in terms of time management, travel expectations, tools i'll need, if someone has a LOT of hair, skin sensitivity and all that jazz for example.

Once deposit is received, date is secured and agreement is made, you will receive an itinerary and instructions on how the services will be scheduled accordingly on the day of.  To avoid collection on wedding day during the whirlwind of events, the remaining balance of payment in full must be made via e-transfer or cash within 24 hours of wedding date and call time.

Q.  How much time is needed to prepare for the wedding ?

A.  Unfortunately for the "not so early birds", earlier ceremonies mean earlier call times, so any wedding participants (including the bride) must be prepared to be up and ready to get pampered upon arrival of the artist. (sometimes before the crack of dawn!) Especially for larger parties. Depending on the service required, the service provider may require 30-90 mins per wedding participant.

Q.  Are we required to do anything before the artist arrives ?

A.  Please ensure that anyone having their hair done do not have clean wet hair the morning of the wedding. it is advised that hair is washed and air dried the day/night before, with minimum (if not none) product used. For those requiring makeup services, please ensure that a clean, dry and moisturized face is ready to go prior to makeup application. It is strongly advised that your face is exfoliated the night before for a smoother skin finish. Also please brush your teeth before service. It's not just about fresh breath, but also, to save time on having to re-do one's lipstick/gloss entirely.

Q.  What type of products do you use ?

A.  There are some great product lines out there and not only one single product brand is used. All products are carefully selected for longevity, wear & coverage. All of my kits consist of various brands with the majority being that of high end or top professional quality. If you have your go-to products that you are extremely loyal to and swear by, please feel free to allow me to apply them. i am not one to judge. i love playing with new products!
